Careers event in store
SPECSAVERS staff from across Hertfordshire are hosting a careers open evening and are inviting people from the area to come along and find out more.
On Wednesday 18 April partners from 21 stores in Hertfordshire will join forces at the newly relocated Hemel Hempstead store, 252-254 Marlowes, where they will offer support and information to anyone who is considering a career in retail, optics and audiology. Staff will be available between 6.30pm – 8.30pm and are welcoming people who fancy a career change, are just starting out, or are returning to work after some time out.
Leading the project is Kartik Bharadia, store director at Specsavers Borehamwood and Specsavers Hoddeson. He says: ‘Considering a career change or applying for your first job can be a daunting prospect, so we wanted to get together to share knowledge and expertise with anyone who might be looking to start a career in the industry.
‘As store partners we are committed to continually developing our teams by offering specialist training and nurturing them as they grow in their roles. We are always on the hunt for excellent people who are passionate and dedicated to learning and providing exceptional customer care, so if that sounds like you please feel free to drop in and see us.’
Staff at Specsaversare offered a number of training courses. The business also rolled out the Platinum Employer initiative which accredits Specsavers stores demonstrating the very best business standards including performance management, recruitment and induction, and learning and development. The store in Enfield recently became the 500th business to be awarded the accolade.
Members of the teams from across stores in Hertfordshire will be there on 18 April between 6.30pm-8.30pm.
