A local business has introduced MPs to a world first for healthcare, with the presentation of its portable isolation facility at an event hosted by Hemel Hempstead MP, Sir Mike Penning.
GAMA Healthcare, which is headquartered on Maylands Avenue, presented Rediroom to Ministers and Members of Parliament at an event on 22 February. The Rediroom unit, which is the world’s first instant mobile isolation room, was launched 18 months ago after more than five years of development. More than 350 are currently used in NHS hospitals across the UK, helping to protect against the spread of infectious disease from pathogens such as SARS-CoV-2 (COVID-19), norovirus and MRSA.
The company recently announced plans to supply Rediroom internationally, working with contacts across the globe, including in Japan, the Middle East and United States. GAMA Healthcare, a leader in infection prevention and control, is also the primary supplier of disinfectant wipes to the NHS.
