Local MP Sir Mike Penning attended the reopening ceremony at Hemel Hempstead Police Station. The Lord-Lieutenant of Hertfordshire, Robert Voss, unveiled a plaque at the event which was also attended by Police and Crime Commissioner David Lloyd, Chief Constable Charlie Hall and the High Sherriff of Hertfordshire Sarah Beazley.
