Mike Penning to share Westminster office with David Gauke MP of neighbouring South West Herts.

Mike Penning, the hard working new MP for Hemel Hempstead has decided to share his Westminster Office with David Gauke MP. They are both to be based in the Norman Shaw South Building which was at one time the old Scotland Yard. Both MP’s feel that such a share can only benefit both their constituencies because of their proximity and often common issues. Mike said: “I think that the fact that our offices are shared will greatly help communication between us and our teams on issues and problems common to both our constituencies. Berkhamsted, Tring, Felden, Bourne End and parts of Kings Langley are in David’s constituency but come under the Hemel based Dacorum Borough Council which is in mine. I have known David for many years and we will be able to work well together.”

Strangely, this will not be the first time that Mike and David have shared an office. David explained “Mike and I first met in the mid nineties when we were both parliamentary researchers. We shared an office together then. Mike and I will work well together.”
