Sir Mike Penning welcomes news that all Hertfordshire schools will get budget increases for next year following a £14 billion Government funding commitment.
Today Sir Mike Penning MP visited Woods pharmacy in Hemel Hempstead to receive a flu vaccination as part of the national pharmacy NHS flu vaccination service. Community pharmacy teams in Hertfordshire are starting to offer free NHS flu jabs as they help support efforts to keep flu levels at a minimum.
Following the formal announcement of the Government’s health infrastructure plan in Parliament yesterday, Sir Mike Penning welcomed the £400million spending for west Hertfordshire but only if it is spent on a new state-of-the-art hospital in a location easily accessible to all three major towns in the area.
Sir Mike Penning, Member of Parliament for Hemel Hempstead, has joined local hospital campaigners in welcoming the announcement that West Herts Hospitals NHS Trust is one of six hospital trusts to receive government funding to create a new state-of-the-art hospital.
On 26th July, the Rt. Hon. Sir Mike Penning MP officiated at the opening of West Herts Homes new office in Hemel Hempstead. In addition to Sir Mike, guests at the event included the Mayor of Dacorum, the Leader of Dacorum Borough Council, and the Cabinet members for Housing from the City and District of St. Albans, and Hertsmere Borough Council.
